  16. A+ Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment High Level Flowchart High school provides DHEWD with dual credit/dual enrollment information for juniors and seniors that meet A+ eligibility criteria. DHEWD matches information from the application with the listing provided by the high school. Student completes online application by semester deadline. DHEWD ranks applicants by AGI (lowest to highest). Any ties ranked by earliest application date. DHEWD establishes eligibility cutoff based on ranking, available funding and preliminary cost information. Postsecondary institution returns roster confirming eligibility and reporting actual tuition/fee cost. DHEWD sends roster of students who meet the cutoff to postsecondary institution(s). DHEWD processes awards. Funds disbursed to postsecondary institution for delivery to student. DHEWD re-evaluates if funds remain after rosters are processed. If additional funds remain, eligibility cutoff will be revised and awards for additional students will be processed Process continues until all eligible students are paid or all funds have been disbursed.

  17. High School Perspective Verify Eligibility/Est. Cost Notify Students Complete & email Excel template to DHEWD by semester deadline If application unmatched or student doesn t meet eligibility criteria Sent to DC/DE provider(s) for eligibility and award certification/payment request Jrs. & Srs. taking DC/DE coursework who meet this scholarship s A+ related criteria Institutions/hours/est. hourly rates

  19. Deadlines Priority for students and high schools January 31? Guaranteed award consideration Applications/HS information received after priority deadline merged into AGI ranking and evaluated every 30 days based on available funding Award consideration not guaranteed

  20. Thoughts? When do high schools typically have firm DC/DE enrollment information about their students? Should the good citizenship requirement be retained for this scholarship? Should the requirement that students avoid the unlawful use of drugs/alcohol be retained for this scholarship? Should the 95% attendance requirement be retained for this scholarship? Thoughts on the other A+ related criteria? Do many students take dual credit/enrollment in the summer? How many providers can one student have?
