General Observations Technical support needed on identifying sources of data, collection, baseline preparation, age and sex disaggregated data Capacity building support on needs assessment (joint or sectoral) with tools adapted to the local situations, food assistance, agriculture and fisheries, and contingency planning FAOSAP has data availability need to closely coordinate with SPC in Suva (they are interested) Awareness raising on different elements of HPC, including beneficiary selection, monitoring (agency and cluster), and AAP (due to local socio-cultural practices) Red Cross with good local volunteer networks keen to collaborate, but need training support

Partnership USP, SPC, IFRC, IOM, UNWOMEN and UNDP are all positive on partnership with the cluster in relevant areas of work regular communication needed RedR interested in enhancing the partnership need to know who is needed where (possibility of need- based deployment up to one year and ReDR/DFAT has the willingness to support the initiative in the region). ADRA strongly present in both Australia, New Zealand and few Island countries ADRA focal point to be contacted for possible partnership. Other standby partners to be contacted (e.g., DFID, NRC, SP, DRC, etc) for possible HR deployment in the region.

Way Forward Positions of the Regional FSC Coordinator (Apia) and the FSC Officer (Suva) to be confirmed for at least an year A regional Information Management Officer to be placed in Suva (Standby Partner?) Regional FSC Coordination Team to actively communicate with Island countries to take stock of the works already done, assess the needs and gaps and report back Concept Note gFSC to reach out to Standby Partners for required support Lead agencies (WFP, FAO) to ensure required resources wherever resource gaps exist Establishment of Pacific food security cluster coordination forum possibility to make use of Pacific Humanitarian Partnerships Meeting in October or SPC meeting to roll it out Regional FSC team to coordinate closely with Logistics and ET Clusters Regional FSC Coordination Team to work with the FAO Resilience Officer, PHT and cluster partners for reinforcing preparedness, response and recovery with development partners in the region
