Sampling Guidelines Great enthusiasm for collaborating in re-presenting material simply and in a Pacific context We really need support in helping us understand what is useful

  7. October 2019 Meeting Poverty Measurement Approaches Specifics reported under another agenda item Concluded a process of understanding how the particular circumstances of the Pacific lead to be incorporated into measurement frameworks. The next Census Round Great enthusiasm for collaborating in re-presenting material simply and in a Pacific context Learning about risk from Australia and New Zealand Starting to think about pathways for future census taking.

  8. Reflections on Value Provides a Focus for collaboration around technical issues. The sampling network has attracted interested people outside the PSMB to come and share views and experiences. The PSMB has provided agencies coming into the region a place to come and discuss their approaches. Great thanks for the way that Kristin and Stanley have approached their work. The PSMB has enabled focus to be given to some key issues by some a critical mass of highly skilled people. In particular the process of considering how the specific circumstances of the Pacific mean that some methodological approaches need to be given greater attention. I think the quality of the discussion is as good as I expect in other national and international fora.

  9. Reflections on Opportunities Use IDA and developing platforms to engage more widely with the Statistics world and get them working on our issues. Being able to treat National and cross National Activity as a programme of work that can be planned for, resourced and optimised Commission work on some very specific Pacific challenges. Initial thoughts are anonymisation and data collection for small island states. Start to work on what new data sources, tools and technologies can feasibly and usefully implemented

  10. Thanks to Everyone who has participated so far : There has been tremendous energy and goodwill ?
