  2. Unit 10. CONCLUSIONS According to the contents of this investigation, there are three types of conclusions that belong to the three types of analysis done in this investigation: Analysis of Normative and conceptual nature. International empirical analysis . National empirical analysis.

  3. Normative and conceptual nature. The participation of parents in school phases is a basic duty and right in the democratic societies. Shared responsibility between parents and the school, to educate the children. Schools should create good atmospheres to establish a good coordination between educational agents. The parent s involvement is very important. In the AMPA, the school council

International empirical analysis The best relationship between parents and academic results has three main ideas: High expectations, a good and fluid communication and a correction of the activities. Studies about PISA 2012: The most important factors that lead to the best marks in Math s , are the realization of family activities, related with the topic, a constant support

Parental participation profiles Analysis of two parental participation profiles: The first profiles that emerge from the empirical analysis corresponds to the following pattern: families that show a high involvement and exercise effective participation in schools. The second participation profiles is situated in the polar opposite: a less involvement and participation of purely formal type, with higher levels of knowledge and of belonging to the AMPA and membership and participation in the School Board of the Centre.

  7. Participation in the elections centers school councils The empirical analysis of official figures reveals a low or very low rate of participation of the families in the elections representatives in the school boards of the centers.

Relationship between family involvement and school performance The empirical analysis on the relationship between family involvement and school performance, reveal the existence of an effective connection between the family participation in the life of the Centre and the school results of the students. Also, the complexity of the explanatory model and the number of factors associated with academic performance increase as schooling progresses.

To school centers: They should favout the formation of quality faciliting to the AMPAs the places, support and assessments. To educative administrations: They should enrich the legislation about the participation of families in the school life.

  12. INTRODUCTION Education is the basis of social equality and a necessary tool to combat the inequalities of the origin. Education is an indispensable instrument for progress towards the ideals of PEACE, FREEDOM and SOCIAL JUSTICE.

CHANGES IN THE CONTEXT AND THE FUTURE OF PARTICIPATION -The social progress of many developed countries is due to the increase in the rates of population that access to higher education. -Any discussion on the future of family engagement in education, leads to changes in the context. -ICT will have one growing influence on the development of the educational process, both from at the school and in the family.

This progressive change in the social context, which directly affects the nature of the participation of families in the school education and his own intensity, will also reach the political context, to the point that political forces will be the need to develop actions to meet parental expectations of participation.

These 3 changes help positively in parental involvement: -The social context with a greater preparation of parents for their formation. -The political context sensitivity of the political forces toward family participation. -Technological change power communication and facilitates information. To sump up, in future policies in support of family engagement will serve for cooperation as well as help.
