ABSTRACT ABSTRACT: : Objectives Objectives: : Our research aims to delve into the Patient Education and Counseling Services policy in Community pharmacy practice, a pioneering initiative that is shaping the future of healthcare in Saudi Arabia. This exploration is of significant importance as it can potentially revolutionize patient care in the country. Methods Our approach was a comprehensive narrative review of the Patient Education and counseling system s Community pharmacy policy and procedures. This involved extensive literature searches in databases such as PubMed, Medline and Google Scholar, covering specific Patient Education procedures in Community pharmacy practice from the 1960s until October 2024. We considered national and international guidelines for general Patient Education and Counseling Services in hospital practice. The Community Pharmacy Patient Education and Counseling Services Committee, members, formulated the guidelines of the policy draft, which underwent multiple revisions to ensure their accuracy and relevance.
