Sacraments Christian Beliefs Resurrection - Jesus rose from the dead and sent His spirit to be among us. He appeared to His friends and sent them out. We become disciples and receive the Holy Spirit in Baptism. Scripture Baptism we receive the Holy Spirit and become disciples Acts 4:1-26 Acts 2:1-18 Confirmation- Renewing baptismal promises/reaffirming belief and commitment Hymns Prayers God s Spirit is in my heart Freely, Freely I will be with you Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful. And kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And you will renew the face of the earth.
