  1. ISPESH 2023 PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF HIGH SCHOOL MALE BASKETBALL PLAYERS IN THE DBL WEST JAVA EAST REGION COMPETITION USING THE FIBA LIVESTATS APPLICATION Muhammad Dendy Perkasa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia

  2. ISPESH 2023 DBL, or Developmental Basketball League, is the largest student basketball league in Indonesia, organized by PT DBL Indonesia. The league was first held in Surabaya in 2004. Until 2019, Honda DBL had been held in 30 cities across 22 provinces throughout Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua. One of the host cities was DKI Jakarta (DBL history, 2019). In the field of sports, especially basketball, observation or analysis during a game or competition is necessary to gather information about the team or individual players. For coaches, statistical data is crucial in determining strategies (Dailami & Jatmiko, 2018). Statistics are also useful in measuring the effectiveness of an individual player or a team. This way, coaches can analyze information about their team or the opposing team to find the right team composition and use the appropriate strategies for a match or competition. Currently, research on performance in basketball games is predominantly focused on professional competitions such as the IBL (Indonesian Basketball League). For instance, in a study conducted by Taufik*, B. Nugrahani, and A.H. Wicaksono in 2017, it was found that the victory of both teams in this game is significantly influenced by three main components: field goals, assists, and turnovers. These three aspects are the primary focus of discussion. Field goals have been shown to have a significant impact on the game as they result in high scores, numerous assists, and a reduction in turnover errors. Furthermore, a study by Dhimas Fitriasmara in 2015 demonstrated that a team's superiority can be observed from how well they control the ball and the number of scoring opportunities they create. However, it is unfortunate that research concerning the performance of students participating in basketball competitions is still inadequately addressed, with limited available information. Introduction

  3. ISPESH 2023 The method used by the researchers is descriptive quantitative. The data obtained from the statistical results of the matches, presented in numerical form, then described using clear sentences. The participants in this study consists 359 students and 32 teams participating in the DBL (Developmental Basketball League) competition in West Java East Region. Procedure 1. Initial Stage: 2. Implementation Stage: 3. Final Stage: Methods

  4. ISPESH 2023 1. Students Performance In the category of male students participating in the DBL (Developmental Basketball League) competition in the Eastern part of West Java, a total of 359 high school students are involved. Based on the statistical data, the average performance of these students is as follows: 34% for Effective Field Goal Percentage (eFG%), 26% for Turnover Percentage (TO%), and 12% for Free Throw Rate (FT RATE). Results 2. Teams Performance The average eFG% (Effective Field Goal Percentage) of the teams participating in this competition is 34%. Based on this, it can be observed that there are 9 teams classified as "good," 17 teams as "poor," and 6 teams as "very poor" in terms of shooting effectiveness. As for the average TO% (Turnover Percentage) of the teams in this competition, it is 26%. Therefore, there are 13 teams classified as "good," 12 teams as "poor," and 7 teams as "very poor" in terms of their turnover rate. Regarding the dominant offensive rebound (OR%) performance, 14 teams have a rebound percentage higher than their opponents, while 18 teams have a rebound percentage lower than their opponents. Lastly, the average FT RATE (Free Throw Rate) of the teams in this competition is 12%. As a result, there are 6 teams classified as "very good" and 7 teams as "good" in terms of their free throw shooting proficiency. Information eFG% TO% OR% FT RATE Very Good >48% 0% - 13% >18% Good 33,91% - 48% 14% - 26% 13% - 18% Poor 16,96% - 33,9% 27% - 39% 7% - 12% Very Poor 0% - 16,95% >39% 0% - 6%

  5. ISPESH 2023 FT RATE eFG% TO% OR% 90,9% 82% 85% 58% Discussions Based on the table above, 90.9% of the total matches show that the winning teams have a better effective field goal percentage (eFG%) compared to the losing teams. The same is true for turnover percentage (TO%) with 82%, dominance in offensive rebounds (OR%) with 85%, and free throw rate (FT RATE) with 58%. Overall, the analysis results indicate that factors such as effective field goal percentage, turnover percentage, dominance in offensive rebounding, and free throw rate play a crucial role in determining match outcomes. Teams that excel in these factors tend to have a greater chance of achieving victory. The author concludes that in the DBL East Java competition, effective field goal percentage (eFG%) is a factor almost always possessed by winning teams. This suggests that a team's ability to efficiently score points from their shots is a key factor in securing victory. This is supported by a research study (Taufik et al., 2020) titled "Statistical Analysis of Indonesian Elite Basketball Team Matches," which aims to analyze the techniques of athletes from Bima Perkasa Jogja during the 2019 IBL series in Malang and Yogyakarta. The research findings indicate that factors influencing a team's advantage in matches are field goals, free throws, and rebounds.

  6. ISPESH 2023 Based on the data processing and analysis presented in the previous chapter, the conclusions of this research are as follows: 1. Student and team performance can be measured using effective field goal percentage (eFG%), turnover percentage (TO%), dominance in offensive rebound (OR%), and free throw rate (FT RATE). 2. Among the four observed factors, it is evident that effective field goal percentage (eFG%) has the most significant influence on achieving victory. Discussions
