  2. Social Work Practicum: Concept, Meaning Concept: field work as a generally understood is a way to translate knowledge through certain skills and techniques into action . Fieldwork is probably bas old as history itself . Probably a primitive learner, a caveman had also to Learn how to hunt in fieldwork situation. Meaning:The term fieldwork may be stretched to describe both experience and also advanced training in the use of knowledge,. attitude, understanding the situation and refinement of skills. The dictionary of sociology and related science defines fieldwork as social survey or process of collecting primary data from a population distribution geographically .
