Want to build and maintain roadways in Kentucky Feel a sense of ownership for each project we work on Take great pride in delivering a quality product to our customers Want to work together to deliver projects as efficiently and effectively as possible 3
KAHC companies are for-profit companiesKYTC is a not-for-profit government organization KAHC contractors goal is to provide a quality end product, while making a meaningful profit for the company ...KYTC s goal is to get a quality end product for the lowest price possible for the taxpayers. Sometimes we do not agree on what is a fair price to construct a project (bids, change orders, extra work, etc ) 4
While we are looking at the same project, the same issues, sometimes we see them differently. Contractors want to work WITH KYTC personnel to make each project a success. Both parties should work on better understanding the concerns of the other party Timely decisions are very important (time is of the essence) We must continue to work together (partnering) in finding solutions to problems as they arise 10
