  3. INTRODUCTION. 3 Definition of political science. Political science is the systematic study of government and politics and it is all about powerul relationships.

  4. DEFINITION. 4 Definition of traditional approach in political science. The traditional approach is value based and lays emphasis on the inclusion of values to the study of political phenomena. Definition of Behavioral approach in political science. Behaviouralism is an approach in political science which seeks to provide an objective, quantified approach to explaining and predicting political behaviour.

  5. ADVANTAGES OF TRADITIONAL APPROACH IN POLITICAL SCIENCE 5 Widley used and well known. Politicaly powerful. Inclusive and open. Democratic.

  6. DISADVANTAGES OF TRADITIONAL APPROACH IN POLITICAL SCIENCE 6 Exclusive and non-democrtic. May be unable to develop and deliver guidelines. Web responders may not be sufficiently representative. Carries significant costs.

  7. ADVANTEGES OF BEHAVIORAL APPROACH IN POLITICAL SCIENCE. 7 Communication is a 2 way process. Employee or employer relations are improved. Employees have greater opportunity to aquire more skills. Encourage team building.

  8. 8 DISADVANTEGES OF BEHAVIORAL APPROACH IN POLITICAL SCIENCE. The role and the control of the manager maybe weakened. Internel conflict due to conflicting views may arise. Not all employees want to contribute. Organisaitional structure may be minimised.

  9. CONCLUSION 9 Since the traditional approach is more concerned with classification and prediction, more emphasis is placed on differences between individuals, or nomothetic issues. The behavioral approach, on the other hand, is more concerned with comparing changes in behavior within an individual, or idiographic issues.
