THE WELLBEING TEAM 1:1APPOINTMENTS SELF HELP Some students will still need a 1:1 appointment. This can include where there is risk, WP students, PGR, Report + Support etc. These will be identified on an individual Access to self-help guides that cover a range of topics such as stress, low mood, anxiety etc. triage basis HEALTH ASSURED WELLBEING ACTIVITIES Informal group activity sessions for students to meet each other and talk with a wellbeing practitioner whilst being creative and having fun! If a student needs to speak with someone immediately - they can use the round the clock support, which includes free helpline, email / call back request, video call, live chat, and free app STUDENT WELLBEING PRACTITIONERS WELLBEING CLINICS & TEACHING SESSIONS TRIAGE / HUB APPOINTMENTS Most students will be directed to the referral form online. From here, we will triage the request for support. A quick hub appointment is for students who need help to complete the form Weekly clinics where we will discuss techniques to manage anxiety and low mood, as well as boosting motivation and the stresses of starting university. Sessions will change through the year

Money Advice and Guidance support for PhD students Money Advice and Guidance can support students if they experience financial difficulties. We offer the following: Doctoral Loan - https://www.gov.uk/doctoral-loan - If you need advice regarding the Doctoral Loan contact the team Budgeting sessions Debt Advice Service Advise on welfare benefits Administer the University Hardship Fund PhD students are expected to make provision to fund both living and tuition costs prior to starting their course.
