  4. VISION AND MISSION The Vision is to have A Spirit filled outreach and a vibrant campaigner for Christ (PO) vs to unite the people with His church and nurture them in preparation for His soon return (Vision of the Global Church). The Mission is to Develop Leaders and Disciples for Christ reflecting the fruits of the spirit in all our actions (PO) vs To proclaim to all peoples the everlasting gospel in the context of the Three Angels' messages of Revelation 14:6-12, leading them to accept Jesus as their personal Savior (Global Mission of the Global Church). The How? Preach (Acts 1:8), Teach (Eph 4:11), Heal (3 John 2) (they overlap)

  5. YOUR CALLING Called by God (Eph 4:11), then Elected by the Congregation (Acts 6:3) What does your Calling mean? Spiritual workmen (guard yourself, guard the flock ) Acts 20:28, become co-labourers and faithful in service 1 Cor 3:9, not to see/speak of failure Numbers 13, no showmanship Acts 5:1-11, knowledgeable in church publications 2 Tim 2:15

  6. WHAT QUALIFIES YOU? NOTHING OF YOURSELF QUALIFIES YOU!! i.e you haven t earned your calling. God qualifies you However ..qualities you must develop by the help of the Holy Spirit (so first you must become Spirit-filled) Stewardship (Don t be a Judas), Empathy (Jesus what better example?), Humility, Temperance - glorify God in your appearance/action/passions, Benevolence, Deal with that ego, Emotional intelligence, Courage, Watch-your-tongue, See all as equal in the sight of God

  7. YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST SUMMARILY Becoming a worker should significantly affect your relationship with Christ for the better Christ becomes your example It s still okay to look up to people in the church A worker is not restricted by geography/time Working includes the little things smile, the pleasantries etc Workers must become a servant Workers must develop an intense spiritual life - study daily, pray effectually Unless something happens in you, nothing will happen through you

  8. YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH MEMBERS SUMMARILY You cannot be so zealous for God and have a horrible attitude with church members Potter s Inreach SDA Church You must love church members even the unlikeable ones Learn to forgive meaning that people will step on those toes Leave the small talk Criticisms must be constructive don t personalize issues, the essence is to build others and the church Workers must show respect to members and leaders Friendship take a step further

  9. YOUR WORK ETHIC SUMMARILY Don t be that lazy worker/hardly-working worker/arm-chair critic worker/fence-sitter worker Church attendance all of it including weekdays (God help even me!) Be a part of creating the worship experience we desire Lateness to church and church programs Attendance of workers meeting Follow through on assignments given to you Caution don t get carried away/too busy (don t lose the vision) This is spiritual work there s a lot of praying, studying the word, evangelism to be done by you

  10. DISCIPLINE - CARROT AND STICK SUMMARILY Whereas the church will commend committed workers, erring/fallen workers should be disciplined but God s love for erring workers/members has not changed 2 Pet 3:9 Discipline is consistent Workers must continue to reach out in love to erring members The essence is ..redemption not condemnation

  11. CONCLUSION CAN THE LORD DEPEND ON YOU IN 2020? QUESTIONS?
