Pray for Burundi The situation in Burundi is the worst it s been since the insurrection and failed coup attempt in April 2015. Burundi remains the poorest and hungriest nation in the world. To add to Burundi s woes, M23 rebels are rampaging through Eastern Congo, arriving at Uvira, which is less than 5 miles from the border with Burundi and just 15 miles from Bujumbura where most of our people live and work.
Pray for Burundi Jesus, we declare you are the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the One who was, who is, and who is to come. We approach your throne of grace with confidence and humility, as we intercede for Burundi
Pray for Burundi Please Lord, prevent the rebels from entering Burundi, so that no Burundian lives are lost. Intervene to thwart any plans to attack the airport and other critical infrastructure.
Pray for Burundi Please Lord, unite Burundians and help them to reject ethnic discord. Instead, please help them to choose to live in peace and harmony* with one another. *Ubuntu
Pray for Burundi Please Lord, provide wisdom to all those in positions of authority. Please help the government, army and police to seek you and be united in their response.
Pray for Burundi Please Lord, may your Church stand together in unity, bearing witness to your great love and mercy. Please uphold your people today and replace their fear with trust and perfect love.
Pray for Burundi Please Lord, help the GLO partner organisations in Burundi who work so hard to bring your light into the darkness. Protect and strengthen the leaders, workers and all their loved-ones at this time.
Pray for Burundi Please Lord, we ask you to shield our GLO staff and their families in Burundi, the UK and the US at this time of great trial.
Pray for Burundi Please Lord, grant Simon Guillebaud and the GLO team wisdom in making decisions in line with your good, pleasing and perfect will.
