Deconstructing the Preamble This lesson has been adapted for students participating in a remote/hybrid model.
The Preamble to the Constitution introduces the Constitution and sets forth the general purposes for which the government was established. It declares the power of the government comes from the people.

What Does the Preamble Actually Mean? You've probably heard of the Preamble to the Constitution and may have even memorized it for a class, but do you know what it actually means? We break it down for you phrase by phrase in plain English.
Schoolhouse Rock- The Preamble 1976. This song teaches about the opening to the United States Constitution, with its preamble set to music. When writing this song, they had to remove a small section of the preamble to make the song rhyme. This song was voted the 6th best song on the 30th anniversary edition. Sung by Essra Mohawk.
