Preliminary Survey on Sri Lankans' Knowledge of Biosafety and GMOs
Conducted in Sri Lanka, this baseline survey explores public awareness and perceptions regarding biosafety and GMOs to develop effective communication strategies for national policy. The study involved six groups comprising 533 participants, using a mixed-method approach including focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and questionnaires. Identified limitations call for future comprehensive studies to enhance understanding and guide the country's communication strategy.
