Malware Malware is intrusive software that is designed to damage and destroy computers and computer systems. Malware is a contraction for malicious software. Some examples of malware 1) Adware. Adware serves unwanted or malicious advertising. ... 2) Fileless Malware. 3) Viruses. 4) Worms. 5) Trojans.
How to prevent malware If you need to download something, you should use an antivirus software to scan that download for malware before opening it. Antivirus software also allows you to scan your entire computer for malware.
Viruses What is a virus A computer virus is a type of malicious software, or malware, that spreads between computers and causes damage to data and software. Computer viruses aim to disrupt systems, cause major operational issues, and result in data loss and leakage.
How can we prevent viruses 1 Don t open email attachments or click on hyperlinks from unknown senders. 2 Use your spam blocking or filtering tools to block unsolicited emails, instant messages and pop-ups. 3 Use passwords that are hard to guess and change them regularly. Do not store user names and passwords on websites. 4 Exercise caution when downloading files from the Internet. Only download from trusted sources.
