PRINCIPLES OF ART AND DESIGN Composition: the way an artwork is arranged. There are various ways of looking at composition, these are some of them: i) Rule of thirds Where objects fall into intersecting areas of a grid. ii) Golden ratio
THE PRINCIPLES Movement: the path the viewers eyes take when viewing an art work. Balance: - the visual weight of each element is distributed in a way that makes the composition feel stable. Types of balance include; Symmetrical balance the artwork could be divide in half and both sides would look the same. Asymmetrical balance A type of balance in which the two sides of the artwork are different but still feel stable.
