  3. 7 Components of Salvation 1) There must be a force/situation that is endangering someone/something 2) There is someone in need of saving due to said force/situation 3) The one being saved must want to be saved 4) The one being saved must comply to the commands of the rescuer to obtain salvation

  4. 7 Components of Salvation 5) The rescuer must be prepared to save the individual in need 6) The rescuer must have the ability to save the someone/something in need of saving 7) The rescuer must actually save the one in need of salvation

  5. Biblical Examples of Salvation Patriarchal Age Lot from Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen 19:1-29) Mosaic Age Israel from Egypt (Ex 14:13)

  6. 13But Moses said to the people, Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will perform for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again, ever. Exodus 14:13 NASB

  7. Biblical Examples of Salvation Years of Preparation The baptism of John (Mt 3:1-12; Lk 1:57-80, *77) Christian Age Jesus Christ (Mt 1:21; Lk 19:9- 10; Acts 4:7-12; Mk 16:15-16)

Situation of Salvation 1) We are in need of saving from our sins (Rom 3:23; 6:23) 2) Jesus has the ability to save us from that sin (Jn 6:51-58) 3) He has provided the means of salvation through his death (Jn 3:16) 1) One in need of saving 2) Rescuer/savior who can save the one in need of saving 3) A means of salvation

  10. 16Do you not know that the one to whom you present yourselves as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of that same one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? Romans 6:16 NASB

Principles of Salvation 1)There must be a force/situation that is endangering someone/something 1) Due to sin, We are in danger of eternal condemnation (Rom 5:12; 6:16, 20-23) 2) Everyone is in need of salvation due to the presence of sin (Rom 3:23) 2)There is someone in need of saving due to said force/situation

Though it is a gift, it must be accepted by the recipient to receive its contents (Jn 3:36, Acts 2:37-42) 4) We must obey the commands that God has provided for salvation to obtain it (Mt 16:24-26; Mk 16:16; Mt 28:18-20) 3) The one being saved must want to be saved 4)The one being saved must comply to the commands of the rescuer to obtain salvation

Principles of Salvation 5) The rescuer must be prepared to save the individual in need 5) God desires for all men to be saved, is prepared to save us, and has provided salvation (Jn 6:40; 3:16) 6) The blood of Christ has the power to afford us salvation (Eph 1:7; Col 1:13-14) 6) The rescuer must have the ability to save the someone/something in need of saving

  14. Principles of Salvation 7) The rescuer must actually save the one in need of salvation 7) God is faithful! He assures us that faithfulness to him will result in eternal life (Rev 2:10; Eph 1:3-5)
