Kigali, 2022) Strengthening cooperation Members of ITU-D and the evolving role of the private sector in the ITU-D Scope of IAGDI-CRO To promote partnerships and collaboration on ongoing and future ITU-D work, the implementation of global, regional, and national flagship large-scale projects in terms of co-financing and expertise. To encourage and strengthen the participation and contribution of industry leaders in the work of ITU-D towards the implementation of the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) outcomes. To contribute through its work thefacilitation of communications between Member States and Sector Members on issues which contribute to an enabling environment for investment, particularly in developing countries. To encourage and strengthen the participation of a wide representation of industry particularly ITU-D Sector Members, in the work of the Development Sector.

  5. MEETING OBJECTIVES: Encouraging contributions from ITU-D Sector Members to the GSR-24 Best Practices Guidelines consultation process, set for presentation and adoption during the GSR-24 Heads of Regulators Executive Roundtable on 1st July 2024. Gathering insights to define the primary themes for discussion at the IAGDI-CRO meeting on 2 July 2024, during GSR-24.

  6. Presentation of the GSR-24 programme and approaches Promote contributions from ITU-D Sector members to the 2024 Value of industry and private sector engagement in GSR. GSR Best Practices Guidelines: Best Practices Guidelines consultation process. Under the overall theme of Charting the course of transformative technologies for positive impact , you are invited to provide your ideas, views and experiences on: - What are the challenges and opportunities faced by policy makers and regulators in embracing transformative technologies for greater impact? Contributions received so far from: - What are the key regulatory measures and guiding principle to follow to foster positive and inclusive impact of transformative technologies? Amazon, GSMA, Intel, Global Voice Group, GSOA, Intelsat, SBA Communications, RIPE NCC, Telesat, International Chamber of Commerce. - How to drive positive behaviours of market players? How ` to minimize risks while maximizing benefits?

  7. Open exchange: Suggested themesfor the IAGDI-CRO meeting (2 July 2024, Kampala, Uganda) The IAGDI-CRO meeting on 2 July will focus on dissecting the key regulatory challenges and opportunities of this decade that are influencing how industry operates. Some suggestions below for discussion: Digital Infrastructure Development, with a focus on financing and models for infrastructure development and support, digital public infrastructure and digital inclusion, security, and privacy, as well as ESG readiness Regulation of the future, including reforms required to achieve an equal playing field, and new domains such as AI. Spectrum for the Future, including 6G and future technologies.
