  1. My Career Compass to Becoming a professional athlete

  2. Why Because I love to play sports and it's so much fun playing hockey it would be so great to be in the nhl. Almost my whole family plays hockey and they would love to see me become a nhl player

  3. Short term goals Make the rep team for poco minor hockey S- make the rep team for poco minor hockey M- I will track the progress by recording my skills on a graph and seeing when I get faster or can shoot better A- My goal will be attained when I try out for the rep team and make it R- it is hard to make the rep team but if I try I can make it T- my goal will be accomplished by the start of next season September 2017

Long term Nhl player S- become a professional hockey player M- I will manage my progress by seeing if I can get in to the ahl first A- my goal will be attained when I get pick for a nhl team R- if I train hard enough this goal will be reasonable and easy to get T- 15 years until a make this goal a reality

  5. Attributes & Abilities Physically fit Committed Hard-working Mature Professional

  6. Years of predication needed for becoming a professional athlete at least 15 because you need to train a play in lower level hockey for a couple years. It can be mor or less than 15 years

  7. Educational requirements There are no post secondary requirements but you should complete high school

  8. Salary $20,000 to over $1,000,000 a year in the nhl

  9. Job description You just try to be the best at what ever sport you want to do and train the rest of the time. I love hockey and it's great to be in shape all year round. You practice a lot to but eventually you can do it.

  10. Obstacles one hurdle is injury anyone can get hurt and that could be a problem in achieving my goal I can overcome this by being safe and seeing a doctor if I get injured Another obstacle is that you don't not get money in all most all lower levels of hockey so I would need a job
