What is Student Success Coaching? Coaching is a student-directed process that helps students move towards their goals with greater self-awareness and self-determination. The coach/service provider guides the student towards identifying reasonable, attainable goals and a plan of action to reach their goals. Frequently used skills are reframing, bottom-lining, creating awareness and acknowledging student effort.
How Does Coaching Benefit Students? With proper training, service providers can incorporate coaching skills into conversations with students for more successful outcomes, increased engagement & retention rates, and persistence to graduation.
Why Train with JST? Learn from the pioneer in student success and ADHD/EF coaching, training higher ed professionals for over 25 years. There s an enhanced renewal of energy around their academics. The students without a doubt come to my office knowing that they are clearly in charge. The students are far more confident now and are empowered. ~ Antonia Messuri, Director of the Office of Accessibility Services - St. Michael s College ~
