  2. What is it? How can it be useful in your educational research project? Prolearning is a simple student feedback and teacher observation/reflection tool It was originally designed for teacher professional development, to help teachers gather data about their practice, by asking students about their learning experience in an everyday manner However, it can also be used for quick and scalable research data gathering over longer periods of time. Pros: Very simple, Takes literally 1-2 mins to use Cons: Limited functionality (e.g., only two kinds of questions)

  3. What data do you get? Data you get: for each session, you get what percentage of students answered positively a question, or what average score students gave, plus your own predictions and reflections. This is very simple, but it already can help track variations on student experience over time. Ethics and privacy: The data students provide is anonymous, and hence it is not considered personal data. However, it is good practice to ask students before gathering this data, and actually the best data is collected when students are explained the purpose of the questions, and the importance of answering honestly, as it is aimed to improve their learning experience.

  4. Use case demo: Gathering data about the student experience of a lesson Prolearning demo Prolearning is a simple student feedback and teacher observation/reflection tool. It was originally designed for teacher professional development, to help teachers gather data about their practice, by asking students about their learning experience in an everyday manner. However, it can also be used as a quick and scalable tool to gather simple data in educational research.

  5. I want to use it! how do I get it? Prolearning was developed by EPFL in Switzerland, but it is free to access and use. It is currently hosted by EPFL. Visit: http://prolearning.realto.ch and try it! How do you access the data generated by this tool? Contact Luis P. Prieto, lprisan@tlu.ee
