  5. ICUDDR Objectives Promote Addiction Studies at the University Level Advance Applied AddictionResearch through UTC/UPC training Credentialing professionals in the workforce

  6. Network of Academic Institutions University administrators and professors to adapt and disseminate training materials. Research Community to connect researchers with universities and promote evidence-based practices and discuss research needs/priorities. International organizations to strengthen the curriculum via participation in peer review groups. University students to provide a platform for students in the addiction field to network with one another. Community organizations to have universities arrange internships for their treatment/prevention students to develop hours of experience. Policymakers to advocate for the interests of the academic community in recognizing and promoting professionalization in the field, to include degrees in the field and credentialing for the practice of substance use disorder treatment.
