Europe's population is aging. Due to rising living standards, the age of the European population rises as well. About 20 percent of the 447 million citizens of the European Union are 65 years or older. After the global health crisis of COVID-19, in which the elderly were the most affected population, it is a priority for the public administrations and social and economic agents, to incorporate demographic factors in the design and development of social and health policies. In this workshop, we will discuss the measures to be taken, aimed at promoting active and healthy aging of our elders, also address the topic of elderly care and show examples of good practice.
