Promoting Career and Technical Education (CTE) for Future Success
School counselors play a crucial role in advocating for, explaining, and facilitating postsecondary options in Career and Technical Education (CTE). The College for All movement challenges the notion that college is the only path to success, highlighting the importance of CTE in providing students with diverse opportunities for financial and career growth. As students explore CTE pathways, it is essential to start early, building foundational skills in elementary and focusing on interests in middle school. Implementing various strategies, such as Career Day and Career Speakers, can inspire students to consider CTE options and develop essential soft skills for the workforce.
