Prayer for Unity I pray also for those who will believe in me , that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me . May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. Jesus in John 17:20-34
Becoming a Source of Unity Making every effort (being eager) to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Eph. 4:3 Unity henotes (& 4:13) Bond syndesmos (Col. 3:14)
Unity henotes (Eph. 4:13) (Gifts given to equip saints and build up body of Christ) Until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity
Bond syndesmos (Col. 3:14) Above all, put on love the perfect bond of unity.
Forgiveness & Unity Each local church is made up of imperfect members and imperfect pastors. We will make mistakes. We will all sin. Yes, we are all hypocrites Christ loved us so much that he died on a cross to forgive us. And now, as He has forgiven us, so we must forgive others. It s essential to the unity of the church. I am a Church Member by Rainer
We believe we can fulfill this vision through the following commitments: I will maintain a servant attitude towards our hosts, and my team. I will remember that I am a guest working at the invitation of local missionaries and nationals. I am a learner, not a judge. I will refrain from such comments as, this is an unusual way of doing things. I realize that our team is here for a short period, but missionaries and pastors are here for the long term. I will respect their knowledge, insights and instructions. Instead of criticizing I will be creative and supportive. Absolutely nothing can happen that can make me complain! I commit myself to resolve all team conflicts as quickly as possible according to biblical principles. I will talk direct to those I have a problem with, and not to anyone else about it. I realize that certain activities that seem harmless in our culture may be inappropriate in others. I commit myself to work to the best of my abilities every single day. I will encourage and have as much fun as possible as I work. I know that our attitude will be a testimony to our hosts.
