In the 3GPP TSG-RAN-WG4 electronic meeting #94bis-e, various companies like Huawei, Qualcomm, and LGE presented MPR simulations for simultaneous PSFCH transmission. The aim is to derive the MPR/AMPR requirements due to non-contiguous RB allocation. Different WF documents discuss simulation assumptions, parameters, and results related to PSFCH transmission in the context of LTE V2X. The proposed MPR values vary based on RB allocation types. For single RB transmission, MPR is specified differently from simultaneous transmission with contiguous and non-contiguous RB allocation strategies. Discussions also touch upon A-MPR considerations for different UL transmission bandwidth configurations and frequency ranges.

  1. 3GPP TSG-RAN WG4 Meeting #94bis-e Electronic Meeting, 20thApril 30thApril, 2020 R4-2005224 WF on MPR/A-MPR requirements for simultaneous PSFCH transmission Agenda item: 6.4.1 Source: Huawei, HiSilicon

  2. Background In RAN4#94e, in order to be aligned with each other, the simulation assumption and parameters for PSFCH are proposed in a WF [1]. In RAN4#94bis-e, LGE, Qualcomm and Huawei provided MPR simulations results for simultaneous PSFCH transmission. [2~3] Qualcomm and Huawei provided simultaneous PSFCH transmission. [4~6] This WF is proposed to derive the MPR/AMPR requirements for simultaneous PSFCH transmission MPR/AMPR values, due to non-contiguous RB allocation. RAN4 shall be more careful about this issue which LTE V2X never touch. AMPR simulations results for considering the worst

  4. WF on MPR for PSFCH For PSFCH with single RB transmission, the MPR is specified as MPR_PSFCH = [3.5] (0.5dB Margin is needed) For simultaneous PSFCH transmission with contiguous and non-contiguous RB allocation, the MPR is specified as follow: MPR_PSFCH = 7.5 ; 0 < NGap / NRB < 0.55 = 12 ; 0.55 NGap / NRB 1 Where NGap is the gap (in units of RBs) between RBstart and RBend for simultaneous PSFCH transmission with contiguous and non- contiguous RB allocation. (NGap = RBend - RBstart)
