  1. HOAP-RESTORE HEALTH AND SAFETY Partner Call Presentation February 26, 2020

  3. Purpose The purpose of this conference call is to share with you the upcoming proposed program requirements and to receive your feedback.

  4. Agenda Introduction Program requirement changes Home Inspection Certification HUD Housing Quality Standard (HQS) Checklist Outcome measures

  5. Introduction: New program name - Restore Health and Safety Covers all eligible Oregon Homeowners below 100% AMI both veterans and non-veterans The program will focus on repairs that affect the house structure and repairs attached to the house The program will provide home repairs and modifications related to health and safety concerns.

  6. Program Requirement Changes The training opportunity below is intended for applicants that receive an award from a future RFA and is made available to a maximum of one person per Grantee. The final details will be determined in the RFA and negotiated grant agreement. Home Inspection Certification - OHCS will provide the training funds Pre-certification course ($695). Can be taken online Exam ($225) Need to go in person to take the exam Testing centers located in seven different places

  7. Provided for informational purposes Organization s expense Continued Education requirements 30 units within 24 months Prior to certificate expiration (This is not a requirement of OHCS provided for informational purposes)

  8. Program Requirement Changes HUD HQS Inspection Checklist Requirement to use home inspection checklist to help identify critical repairs related to health and safety. To be used by Grantees as a guide only

  9. Program Requirement Changes Outcome measures Grantees to follow with homeowner(s) six months from completed repair projects Is six month after repair projects are completed reasonable follow-up time?
