  1. Mission Four Protecting the Warrior s Heart

  2. Ephesians 6:14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place.

  3. Protective Equipment Military, police, firefighters, and EMS all have gear that protects them from specific dangers. Body armor Flameproof equipment Rubber gloves and masks Receive training of how to use equipment.

  4. Roman Armor of Pauls Time Roman armor was designed to balance between ease of movement and protection. Breastplate was designed to protect the front of the torso and protect the Warrior s heart. The heart is a critical organ in the body, and without it, we cannot live.

  5. Spiritual Armor of God Our hearts are prone to temptation. Matthew 26:14: Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. If we fail to equip ourselves with the breastplate of righteousness, we are exposing our hearts and lives to the attacks of the enemy.

  6. Truly Bulletproof Not our righteousness, but the imputed righteousness of Jesus. Spiritual combat is difficult because it is often unknown and unseen elements. When we walk in the righteousness of God, He provides us with the weapons of defense against the accusations and strategies of the enemy.

  7. The Finished Work of the Cross Our mindset, faith, and willingness to accept what Jesus did for us on the cross will be our strength and power for victory in any battle that comes our way. Proverbs 28:1: The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.

  8. Prepare Your Heart for Battle Prepare your heart Today! Protect your heart with the breastplate of righteousness to thwart any attack. Alistair Begg: It is the breastplate of righteousness which covers my heart and declares me justified before God. The man on the middle cross said I could come in.

  9. The Heart of Man It is the heart of man that is subject to temptation. Temptation to quit. Temptation to submit to the enemy. Temptation to submit to fear. The divine righteousness of Jesus guards our hearts.

  10. Breastplate of Righteousness Prayer Heavenly Father, my heart will only be prepared for battle if you are in control of it. I ask you to fill my heart with your Word as I study, to change my heart to be like yours, and to protect my heart with your righteousness and strength. Grant me victory today, guide me and empower me to put on the breastplate of righteousness, ever and always protecting my heart and my soul. In Jesus Holy Name I pray, Amen.

  11. Ephesians 6:14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place.
