  2. Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,

  3. A Wise Woman Hears She obeys the command of Christ: He who has ears to hear, let him hear! (Matthew 11:15; 13:9, 43; Mark 4:9; Luke 8:8, 14:35) Hear Me, everyone, and understand (Mark 7:14) She looks for opportunities to hear His words: Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17) Mary sat at <His> feet and heard His word (Luke 10:38-42) She hears the words of God, and puts them into action blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it! (Lk. 11:28) But be doers of the word, and not hearers only (James 1:22)

  4. Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,

  5. A Wise Woman Increases Learning She is careful to learn the right things Jesus says, Learn from Me! (Matthew 11:29) These things were written for our learning (Romans 15:4) She works hard to learn God s will Be diligent to show yourself approved, a workman (2 Tim. 2:15) Be even more diligent (2 Peter 1:10) Give all diligence adding knowledge . (2 Peter 1:5-7) She knows learning will be rewarded If they will learn they will be established (Jer. 12:16) Learn from me find rest for your souls (Matthew 11:29) Through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope (Romans 15:4

A Wise Woman Attains Wise Counsel She seeks the wisdom of God If any lack wisdom ask of God (James 1:5) Wisdom that is from above is pure (James 3:17) She solicits advice from godly mentors Accepting teaching from older Christians (Titus 2:4-5) Keeping wise company (1 Corinthians 15:33) She does not listen to worldly advice Do not learn the ways of the Gentiles (Jer. 10:2) Do not be conformed to this world (Romans 12:2) Do not love the world (1 John 2:15)

  8. Remember: Knowledge begins with the fear of the Lord Foolishness despises wisdom and instruction The fear of the LORDis the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

Set aside a time that is especially for study Choose a Method Through-The-Bible-Plans In Bible order In Chronological Order Topical Studies, Online Plans, Devotional Books, Blogs

  10. A Wise Woman Studies Her Bible! Practice the S-O-A-K Method Scripture Choose Your Section of the Bible for the Day Observation Write out 1 or 2 things that stood out Application Personalize the verses to your life! Kneel in Prayer Pray about the verses that you just read! Write your own Devotional Method Choose a verse or part of a verse each day Write a short paragraph about the verse, designed to encourage you or someone else

  11. A Wise Woman Studies Her Bible! Practice the Bible-marking Method Color code your Bible! Use one of the Bible-marking guides provided, or personalize your own method to fit your own personal topical studies Write it Down Copy a specific passage, writing it down in your own handwriting, adding the words to your heart as you add them to your page. Just read it! The Bible is the greatest book ever written just read it!
