Complete the Punnett Squares - students will complete the 6 different combinations, identify which genotypes are tasters, and calculate the % taster vs non-taster Make Prediction About the Genotypes - students will make a prediction about what the genotypes will look on on an electrophoresis gel Family Tree - students will complete the family tree with the genotypes of family members Plotting on a Standard Graph - students will graph the distance vs fragment size of the DNA maker to see if they can determine the fragment sizes of the family members. Plotting on a Log-Y Graph - students will graph the distance vs fragment size of the DNA maker to compare plotting on a standard graph for determining fragment size Cell Signaling - students will organize the cell signaling steps involved with tasting PTC. 2 versions are provided, as a Jamboard or as a google slide activity.
