Corrie Ten Boom (1892 Corrie Ten Boom (1892 1983): 1983): A Dutch watchmaker who, along with her family, harbored hundreds of Jews amid the Nazi Holocaust to protect them from arrest during World War II. It s believed their efforts saved nearly 800 lives. Eventually betrayed by a fellow Dutch citizen, the entire family was imprisoned. Having grown up in a devout Christian family, Corrie started a worldwide ministry and traveled around the world as a public speaker. Tramp for the Lord (sequel to The Hiding Place) tells of Corrie's experiences after the Second World War as she began to minister worldwide. 2
