  2. List of Awards IEEE Stuart R. Wenham Young Professional Award (engraved plaque) Napkin Award (engraved plaque, decided by Mariana and Jay) Student Oral Presentation Awards (standard plaques) one per area Poster Awards (standard plaques) one per area per poster session Outstanding Technical Award (standard plaque, decided by Jay and area chairs) High School Competition Awards (top three? Participation awards?) Sun Run Awards separate committee Cherry Award separate committee

Wenham award procedure Judges (area chairs, program and deputy program chairs) sent application packages soon after submission deadline Program chair - reinforce with Area Chairs that this is part of their duties! Judges send ranked top 4 applicants to Awards Chair within 2 weeks Judges will be sent anonymous results of initial polling 3 days later Judges assemble for teleconference discussing merits of candidates and ultimately land on a winner by at least a majority vote, if not a unanimous vote (call date/time TBD based on doodle poll, ideally sometime at the end of Feb.) This was the procedure used in 2020, have there been any adjustments?

  4. 2019 Budget (Chicago) Laser Engraved Memories - $224 (2 laser-engraved plaques, napkin award and YP award) Classic Achievements - $1892 (56 plaques + certificates, 120 ribbons, shipping) Young Professional Award - $1,000 + complimentary registration Student Oral Presentation Awards - $200 x number of areas Cherry Award - $5,000 not covered by this committee Total estimated 2023 budget: ~$6,000

  5. Immediate Action Items/Questions Edit website blurb for Young Professional Award? Last year s blurb looks pretty good, just need to update submission deadline on website and submission form Post to website when it goes live Transfer email address: awards@ieee-pvsc.org Confirm Cherry Committee will be ordering their own plaque again Determine what remaining plaques/ribbons we have Have all virtual awardees received their plaques at this point? Can we add past student winners to the website somewhere?

  6. Longer term action items Determine Wenham winner before March planning meeting (ideally end of Feb) Order necessary plaques and ribbons (as soon as Wenham and Napkin awards are decided) Work with Adam to ensure all certificate templates are in order before the conference Coordinate with GSA chair to have GSAs help with distributing poster awards
