Mission statement: The safety of all students, employees and visitors is the mission of the University Department of Campus Safety and Security. Our team works hard everyday to support this mission and we continue to seek out ways to make the Auburn University campus as safe as possible.
Organizational structure: Emergency Management Compliance Security
Emergency Management Division Emergency Operations Plan Building Emergency Plans Exercises & Training Emergency Response & Recovery 108+ AED Units on campus 130+ Blue Light Emergency Phones Football Gameday Operations
Compliance Division Clery Compliance (including the Higher Education Opportunity Act and Violence Against Women Act amendments). Compile and publish the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. Process over 1500 crime reports and 400 referrals annually, which are assessed for Timely Warning . Maintain records and training for over 1200 Campus Security Authorities.
Compliance Division continued. Maintain records for 100s of properties owned and controlled properties. Oversee university compliance with the Homeland Security Facility Anti-terrorism Standards. Monitor campus-wide inventory of over 300 CFATS chemicals of interest on a monthly basis. Assist with compliance of the Drug Free Schools and Community Act. Sexual Assault Response Team leadership.
Compliance Division continued. Coordination with Title IX office on protective measures for survivors of VAWA offenses.

Communications / Outreach highlights Auburn Safety App - live weather conditions, emergency guidelines, call for help, report suspicious activity, friend walk, AU ALERT push notifications and gameday information.
