Quantitative Parameters for Studying Ink and Paper Exposure
Fading of printed pages in sunlight, especially with specific ink and paper types, prompted the proposal of quantitative parameters for prolonged exposure study. Evaluation of theory strengths and weaknesses revealed the lack of quantitative fading parameters and an absence of a theoretical model. The experiment did not utilize printed pages for quantitative measurement. The theory and experiment were not in good agreement for all colors, lacking important ink chemistry information.

OVERVIEW OF THE OPPONENT TEAM BULGARIA - B
9. Fading in sunlight Printed pages fade in direct sunlight, especially if certain types of ink and paper are used. Propose quantitative parameters to study the prolonged exposure of ink and paper to sunlight. TASK THEORY - There is a lack of theoretical model EXPERIMENT - No need to measure the temperature and humidity COMPARISON OF THEORY WITH EXPERIMENT - Ve OVERALL IMPRESION -
TASK FULFILLMENT 9. Fading in sunlight Printed pages fade in direct sunlight, especially if certain types of ink and paper are used. Propose quantitative parameters to study the prolonged exposure of ink and paper to sunlight. TASK NOT CLEAR TRH THERE IS FADING
EVALUATION OF THE THEORY STRENGHTS WEAKNESSES - Lack of quantitative parameters of the fading - Not needed temp and moisture information - Clear, and well constructed - Lack of theoretical model
EVALUATION OF THE MEASUREMENTS WEAKNESSES - Not used PRINTED PAGES - No quantitative measurment
SUMMARY THE THEORY AND THE EXPERIMENT ARE NOT IN A VERY GOOD AGREEMENT FOR EVERY COLOR. THERE IS UNUSED INFORMATION. NO SPECIFIED THEORY ON THE CHEMISTRY OF THE INK.
POINTS FOR DISCUSSION THE MECHANISM QUANTITATIVE MEASURMENT OTHER INKS AND PAPERS
