Highlights: 1 May to 31 July 2016 Hui-a-iwi Matapouri , 1st& 2ndJuly 2016 Successful wananga and workshops Survey post hui to gather feedback from whanau on workshops with 58 responses Treaty Settlement Updates Regular communications and information shared with whanau All updates mailed out to kaumatua recognising many do not go on the interent Panui that urgency hearing was granted to claimants against the Crowns recognition of NTB Mandate Panui regarding the removal of Te Kapotai and their WAI claims from mandate with the ammended dead of Mandate made available All udpates, Maintenance reports and correspondence made available to whanau NTB Mandate Maintenance report to Office of Treaty Settlements Assisted Treaty Claims manager with completing report for 1 May 31 July 2016. Report required on a quarterly basis on NTB mandate detailing all panui, correspondence, hui and any other documents relating to the mandate. Te Wiki o te Reo Regular posts and videos on Facebook relating to Te Wiki o te Reo beginning of July
Communications Activity: Monthly Te T kaiaia Newsletters May & July Includes regular Treaty Settlement Updates T kaiaia Sent monthly with any other current panui to kaumatua by mail Monthly Board Meeting Summaries May, June summaries made available to whanau on website and T kaiaia Other Panui Matapouri Hui-a-iwi panui Vairous Matariki events around the rohe Nga Pari Karangaranga series, Ng K rero O Ng tiwai on Maori TV shared Royal NZ Navy 75th memorial of HMS Puriri sinking Ocean Beach Corrospondence from E-mails, Website and Facebook Liased with relevant managers to provide responses Letter sent to Fine Art America opposing the use of our Tupuna Images Media Media release regarindg granting of Urgency Hearing, Haydn radio interview on Waatea and an article in the Northern Advocate regarding this. Media release and Radio interview on Waatea opposing the use of Tupuna image Paretene Te Manu by Fine Art America Media release and a radio interview on Waatea outlining our mahi with the Government in a new education initiative
