  2. Who is this leader? Detail Im Rathabeng wa Mamabolo and those who come across my path call me old crumpy an ex school principal also HIV activist.A community leader in his own rights lastly to know me is to love me . Voice and Choice! Empower women, End Violence.

  3. What drives you? Detail I am driven by the fact that I was given a second chance to redeem myself I was a womaniser and a abuser in my past life I have tested positive I paid my dues and after 2 divorces I learn my lesson the hard way Voice and Choice! Empower women, End Violence.

  4. What do you do Detail Presently im a mentor for FAN ,NOEXCUSE in Limpopo Im mandated to bring men, youth and the boy child under one umbrella of no excuse 4 GBV Im a facilitator and trainer of trainers in GBV HIV and Men s health Im the chairperson of CDM mens forum and co-chair of Polokwane municipality AIDS Council Lastly im a father to multitudes Voice and Choice! Empower women, End Violence.

Personal achievements I managed to sit for exam and got my eduaction degree honours Im an HIV survivor of 26 years living with virus Presently im regarded as the face of HIV and NOEXCUSE for GBV Limpopo I have been a mentor for the organisation called FAN for past 4 years and still going strong I held the position of co-chair of Polokwane municipality AIDS council for over 10 consecutive years Through the support of FAN I managed to attend most men events across the country such as national mens forum and parliament in cape town and presidential summit Voice and Choice! Empower women, End Violence.

Achievements at community level Detail By the assistance of the local and district municipalities I managed to reach the most rural and remote corners of CDM Anova men s health assisted me to entice men to get tested for HIV during the last 3 months of 2022 Get down productions,an NPO,has assisted me to train 120 young men for nine consecutive days in two cycle I managed to built 10 wthatsapp groups of young men in 10 villages to fight gender inequalities. During the world Aids Day I mobilised 200 men at library garden auditorium polokwane of whom 123 tested with only 11 positive 50/50 by 2030! Empower Women, End Violence.

Contributions to ending GBV Detail I bring men together identify the drivers of GBV I try by all means possible to address issue of corncern to men and refer them to stakeholder Engagement with SAPS will end the discrimination of men at police stations Deal with the discriminatory slogan like , men are trash or men a perpetrators 50/50 by 2030! Empower Women, End Violence.

  8. Contributions to womens economic power Detail The mandate and policy of the organisation I work for (FAN) I concentrate strictly on men issues . A boy child has been neglected and left in the cold hence the perpetuation of GBV/F 50/50 by 2030! Empower Women, End Violence.

Achievements at policy level I been required to register at least 10000 men annually with FAN I exceeded the target Men were brought together Our toll free number 0800 150 150 managed to a mass over half a million All calls were answered and attended to I was guided by the constitution of the country and the policy of the organisation to mobilize men and boys Voice and Choice! Empower women, End Violence.

  10. LEADERSHIP QUALITIES Im reliable , consistent , compassionate Im the type of person to come to for a shoulder to learn on. I am able to mobilize men from different groupings and all walks of life My experience of 30+ years as a educator and head of school come in handy during training and facilitation Voice and Choice! Contribution to gender equality I have realised that the boy child is out on his own hence im out to rectify I strive to encourage men to participate in the upbringing of their kids Review of the child maintenance policy is in my radar I fight patriarchy in our rural communities were it is rife Voice and Choice!   12. COVID-19 Response During lockdown GBV escalated and we need a redress HIV was in the back seat during covid 19 hence the escalation of positivity rate. Tests needed Men, women and children were in close proximity for months on This situation had its positive and negative connotations on the impact of GBV Voice and Choice! Empower women, End Violence.

  13. Next steps I would like to work towards amalgamate all men formation under one umbrella In future men and women should be brought under one roof to debate issues The boy child must under no circumstances be left out e.g taka e a girl child to work I will strive for mens forums to be initiated from ward level up until national level Voice and Choice! Empower women, End Violence.
