I will conduct my practices and games so that each player has an opportunity to improve their skill level through active participation. Practices Practices Practice scheduling Our goal is to have every team's practice at the same location, same days and times. Unfortunately, it is not possible with school and community Ed. schedules. There are no practices when schools are closed. If RPS cancels school for inclement weather practices are cancelled. We will try to make up the practice, but it will be made up later, if possible. Special practice request must be made at least 3 weeks to the practice date. These requests can only be made by the coach. No guarantee we can meet the request. Once schedules have not been posted there are no changes. Schedules will be posted on our website.

An adult has to accompany players to bathrooms, water fountains or waiting for parent pick up. Do not bounce balls in the hallways. Practices need to ended at the scheduled time. As coach you can not leave until all players have been picked up. Always have another adult with you. Be considerate of school property and staff. Malicious behavior can lead to RCYBA not being permitted to use that school behavior. The RCYBA insurance only covers facilities we have listed with our insurance company.
Game Management Game Management - - League League Playing Time Equal participation per game is the goal of our league. However, please realize that playing time for every game will not be perfectly distributed. This should only be due to issues such as OT or disciplinary issues. Keeping the best players on the floor to win games is not the goal of League play. Games League games are to be developmental and fun for the players. The goal is to provide an in-game experience to learn how to work as a team and develop skills. Plays should be few and not be completed. After-Games Be sure parents are there to pick up players after a game. Players can no be left at the game facility unaccompanied by an adult. Coaches/Player/Parents Conduct It is the responsibility of the coaching staff to practice and ensure their players and respective players follow the RCYBA Code of Conduct that was signed at time of registration

This will mean that playing time may not be the same for each player per game. Coaches will make every effort to play each player at least 2 minutes per half. Games Middle school traveling basketball is played at a competitive level. Game management should be based on games situations. While keeping in mind to make the game fun and involve all players.
