MEETING OBJECTIVES MEETING OBJECTIVES The overall objective is to re-activate the Nigerian PGA process, and define a precise modes of implementation for a prompt follow-up and efficient conduction of activities. plan and
The specific objectives are to: Review PGA outputs to date, including the preliminary research studies, workshop report and draft indicators set. Revise the PGA roadmap elaborated in January 2013 workshop and validate an updated version of it. Discuss and validate the integration of PGA into Nigeria's broader REDD+ work, including safeguards-related work.
Agree on main aspects of the PGA process, including: Length of the process; Management structure, roles and task division tasks for the PGA process in Nigeria; Levels/types of stakeholder engagement and participation for the different steps of the process; Modalities of communication, coordination and contribution between the different parties involved; Progress and performance monitoring;
Prepare PGA work plan for 2014, incl. fix the dates and main contents of thenext PGA workshop(s), Revision of the indicator set and preliminary identification of data collectionmethods.
