  1. FY19 DISASTER UPDATE: Q3 (Jan.Mar. 2019) FOR ADGP MEMBERS

  2. Between January and March 2019, the American Red Cross helped people in need following disasters large and small. We responded in communities devastated by intense flooding, destructive tornadoes and severe winter weather all while helping people affected by home fires and other everyday disasters in communities nationwide. 2

  3. Red Cross volunteers like Tom and Addie delivered help and hopeto people who had lost everything. Support from ADGP members like you enabled the Red Cross to mobilize immediately, responding to the needs of thousands of people whose lives were upended by floods, tornadoes and other disasters. 3

  4. During this quarter, the Red Cross responded to 42 significant disasters across the country, including 14 very large events. Q3 International Response Totals The American Red Cross actively supported disaster preparedness, relief and recovery work in 19 countries. $2,309,366 funds donated* 23 9 preparedness and risk reduction projects people deployed FY19 Totals $5,582,007 30 25 *Reflects funds donated by American Red Cross to IFRC, ICRC or Red Cross Red Crescent national societies following specific disasters. 7

  8. Q3 Home Fire Campaign Totals The Red Cross also supported preparedness and education efforts to combat the nation s biggest disaster threat home fires. Logo in one full-page ad inBusinessweek, on newsstands beginning Mar. 29 for two weeks and generating 600,000 impressions. Acknowledgement in Red Cross FY18 Annual Report and FY18 Disaster Update annual publications shared with our supporters. Template communications materials provided, including social posts and article content. These aligned with timely Turn and Test smoke alarms messaging for Daylight Saving Time and Red Cross Giving Day on Mar. 27. Invitation to bi-annual members-only update call with Disaster Cycle Services leadership on Jan. 17 to review disaster work and discuss future plans. During major disaster responses: Recognition in tworedcross.org disaster news stories, achieving a combined 8,600 page views. o Recognition in seven disaster Information Update emails shared with Red Cross supporters. o 9

Missing Types June 11 June 30, 2019 Sound the Alarm April 27 May 12, 2019 The Red Cross will again draw attention to the missing types of blood (A, B and O) and invite the public to fill them with a goal of inspiring 50,000 new blood donors. The Red Cross will again install 100,000 smoke alarms, provide fire safety education in 100 communities nationwide and raise awareness through a major media push. Raise awareness and help fill missing blood types by removing the A, B and O letter(s) from your logo and other brand assets and inviting your employees and customers to make an appointment to give. Invite your employees to volunteer to Sound the Alarm for home fire safety in their communities. Contact your relationship manager to learn more! 10
