  1. CELEBRATING THE SEASON OF CREATION

  2. Message of His Holiness Pope Francis for the Celebration of the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation Dear brothers and sisters! Listen to the voice of creation is the theme and invitation of this year s Season of Creation.

  3. If we learn how to listen, we can hear in the voice of creation a kind of dissonance. On the one hand, we can hear a sweet song in praise of our beloved Creator; on the other, an anguished plea, lamenting our mistreatment of this our common home.

  4. In this Season of Creation, we pray once more in the great cathedral of creation, and revel in the grandiose cosmic choir made up of countless creatures, all singing the praises of God. Let us join Saint Francis of Assisi in singing: Praise be to you, my Lord, for all your creatures (cf. Canticle of Brother Sun).

  5. Canticle of Creation Dan Schutte CANTICLE OF CREATION (inspired by St. Francis of Assisi's Canticle of Creatures) Words & Music by DAN SCHUTTE from the album, LOVE AND GRACE Oregon Catholic Press (OCP) photos from unsplash.com

  6. Pope Francis calls us to pray with the psalmist Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! (Ps 150:6). For the gift and beauty of creation which brings joy to the heart, we pray Let everything that breathes praise the Lord For the abundance of plants, animals and water that gives food in due seasons, we pray Let everything that breathes praise the Lord For human beings, women and men, especially those who care for our mother earth, we pray Let everything that breathes praise the Lord For those who hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor, we pray Let everything that breathes praise the Lord

  7. Creating God, You are in the expanding of our cosmos, You are in the smallest of your creation. You include everything in existence, embracing it with your gentleness. Keep giving us your love, so that we may keep protecting the life and beauty of all your creation. We ask this in the name of Jesus, your living Word. Amen.
