  1. WORK: Blessing or Curse?

  2. - Your work is a blessing from God Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord...

  3. - Your work is a blessing from God Tom Nelson Being made in God s image, we have been designed to work, to be fellow workers with God. To be an image-bearer is to be a worker. In our work we are to show off God s excellence, creativity, and glory to the world. We work because we bear the image of One who works.

  4. - Your work blesses family and friends

  5. - Your work blesses the needy Acts 20:35 In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

  6. - Your work blesses co-workers Timothy Keller To be a Christian in business, then, means much more than just being honest or not sleeping with your coworkers. It even means more than personal evangelism or holding a Bible study at the office. Rather, it means thinking out the implications of the gospel worldview and God s purposes for your whole work life and for the whole organization under your influence.

  7. - Your work blesses co-workers Martin Luther God doesn t need our good works, but our neighbor does.

  8. Timothy Keller ...sin runs through the heart of every worker and the culture of every enterprise.

  9. - We begin as romantics - We become cynics - We bow as worshippers - We remain unreflective

  10. Katherine Alsdorf I couldn t handle the idea that it was all meaningless, so I just put my head down and worked harder.

  11. - God works and made us to work - God rested and made us to rest - The fall made work and rest less than perfectly fulfilling - Work and rest will be fulfilling forever in the Kingdom of God
