  5. 5 Some questions How do we find out which services are offered by a node? How do we find relevant nodes? How do we even know there is a relevant node? Do we really need to manually build lists of nodes? Can t this be automatic? Node register itself? Node provide information on services? What kind of protocol?

  6. 6 Nodes NODE: - query - What is it? - what services are there? - Machine AND human actionable REGISTRIES Same stuff We are talking about a protocol and a registry. - What should be in this registry?

  7. 7 Many are working using registries Including: EGI, RE3Data, EUDAT, EPOS, ELIXIR, VO, NIF, etc. Good moment for interaction Do we need such registries? Can they be more automatic? What functions do they have? How to come to worldwide (better) interoperability?
