CONCLUSION Based on preliminary studies, music, and video analysis, it can be concluded that music is often a way to build and maintain group identity. Music often serves to emphasize the ethnic identity or main characteristics of a distinct ethnic group within the larger society. In the international choir festival, a choir group not only plays a role in performing the uniqueness of their group identity, but also becomes a 'cultural ambassador' who reinforces their national identity in the international world.
