Research Data Alliance (RDA): Global Public Asset and Community for Data Sharing
The Research Data Alliance (RDA) is a global, public asset facilitating open sharing and re-use of data across technologies, disciplines, and nations. Established in response to the need for enhanced data infrastructure, RDA fosters collaboration and consensus among researchers and innovators to address societal challenges. With guiding principles of openness, inclusivity, and community-driven initiatives, RDA has seen significant growth over the years, with a diverse membership base and numerous outputs. Explore how RDA serves as a strategic hub for advancing data science and promoting best practices in data management and research globally.

Vision & Mission Vision: Researchers and innovators openly share and re-use data across technologies, disciplines, and countries to address the grand challenges of society. Mission: RDA builds the social and technical bridges that enable open sharing and re-use of data.
Guiding Principles OPENNESS CONSENSUS INCLUSIVITY HARMONIZATION COMMUNITY-DRIVEN NON-PROFIT AND TECHNOLOGY-NEUTRAL
Back to the Future In 2010 Both funding and research communities recognized the need for more and better infrastructure to support data-driven research efforts around the world. that the growing gap between research exploration and enabling data infrastructure would slow the advancement of innovation if not better addressed.
