MATHEWSON - REDBUD LINE Competitive Upgrade ID: 158572 Network Upgrade Name: Redbud - Mathewson 345 kV Ckt 1 New Line Network Upgrade Description: Construct a new 38.4 mile 345 kV Ck1 line from Redbud 345 kV to Matthewson 345 kV. Network Upgrade Specification: All elements and conductor to meet or exceed 1792/1792/1792/1792 (SN/SE/WN/WE) MVA rating. Network Upgrade Justification: Upgrade identified in the 2023 ITP Assessment as an economic project (need date: 1/1/2025). Study Cost Estimate for Competitive Upgrade: $ 103,239,553 In-service Date: April 2027 (Provided by 3rdparty estimator) 4
HOW TO RESPOND All responses shall utilize the RFP Response Forms provided with the RFP Word Response Form main response form intended to allow narrative based responses Excel Response Form utilized to support sections that require calculation or number-based answers All RFP Proposal submissions uploaded through the SPP Request Management System ( RMS ) Note: RMS is limited to 5MB for single files RFP Proposals must submit the $50,000 TOSP Deposit by the response deadline 5
RMS SUBMISSION OF RFP PROPOSAL The submitter shall use the RMS Submit Information Request Template Subtype 1, Transmission Owner Selection Process (TOSP) Subtype 2 RFP Proposal. 6
QUESTION & ANSWER PROCESS SPP will maintain a question and answer ( Q&A ) log. All questions shall be submitted to the SPP RMS: Responses will be published in a Q&A log and posted publicly on the RFP page of spp.org. Submitter info will not be posted and will be held confidential. Last date SPP will accept RFP questions is September 22, 2024 8
