What are common obstacles to return to work planning? ? Think of it as Workplace Safety Planning Common obstacles include: 1. Firm leaders & employees not being aware of the plan 2. Lack of transparency in communications to your employees 3. Firms being reactive rather than proactive 4
How does one even go about instituting a work place safety strategy? ? Designate representative(s) to manage the process Establish policy that is relevant and up-to-date with most recent information and recommendations from national and local authorities (e.g. CDC, EEOC, OSHA, HHS, etc.) Consider local laws covering workplace safety, employment practices, privacy, quarantine orders Communication: objectives, cadence, transparency Training To benefit the Firm culture as a whole 5
What are some things a firm can put in place to safeguard the workplace? ? Before resuming business . . . Physical Site Survey Identify & address hazards Consider social distancing Regularly clean & disinfect work stations, common areas Necessity of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Remote working opportunities Return as needed, stagger or alternative shifts 6
