  2. Revision of TS-G-1.3 to take account of: Current version of SSR-6 (2018) and GSR Part 3, and other safety standards Experience with the use of TS-G-1.3

  3. Development and Approval of DPP Revision of TS-G-1.3 recommended by Working Group 1 of TRANSSC33 Input from IEC and RSM/NSRW incorporated into DPP. DPP Approved by Coordination Committee on 29 March April 2019 (SPESS B Step 2) Request for approval of DPP by TRANSSC June 2019 (SPESS B Step 3) Request for approval of DPP by EPReSC & RASSC 25 June 2019 (SPESS B Step 3)

  4. Development of Revised TS-G-1.3 Starting point will be the current structure and text of TS-G-1.3 Input from Working Group 1 of TRANSSC33 will be considered. Comments from MSs on DPP will be considered.

  5. Comments on DPP from MS France 15 (TRANSSC) Iran 1 (EPReSC) Japan - 2 (TRANSSC) Japan 7 (EPReSC-RASSC) Pakistan 7 (Pakistan) UAE 3 (EPReSC) Resolutions to the comments prepared and proposed changes made to DPP; information provided to members of RASSC, EPReSC and TRANSSC in advance of meetings the week of 24 28 June 2019

Actions taken in response to Comments from MS Changes made in Version 2 of DPP: Deleted: Reference to old ICRP publications and IAEA Training Course Series No. 1 on Safe Transport of Radioactive Material Added: Reference to GSG-8 and DS513 Clarified: SCOPE planned exposure situations only Deleted: Annex VII, Excerpts from the IAEA Regulations for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Material Deleted: Example of Radiation Protection and Emergency Response Instructions for a Vehicle Operator Changed: Title of Chapter 10 to Management System for the Radiation Protection Programme Deleted from Outline: Bodies for the Endorsement of IAEA Safety Standards Added: Annex 1, Report of Working Group 1 of TRANSSC33: TS-G-1.3 Radiation Protection Programmes for the Transport of Radioactive Material Added: Annex 2, Programme of Transport Safety Standards Preparation 2017 2023; Issue 5 April 2019 A number of comments will be reviewed in a detailed way during the drafting process and addressed in the publication.
