Site Considerations Current Richmond Site Funding required for Richmond demolition Inside the Installation s perimeter fence Have installation access issues during construction Addresses SSUSD zoning concerns/complications Would have to house students during construction Environmental remediation costs potential Old Murray Middle School Site Funding required for Richmond and MMS demolition Inside the Installation s perimeter fence Have installation access issues during construction Addresses SSUSD Zoning Concerns / Complications Environmental remediation costs potential 11
Site Considerations New Richmond Road Site Money allocated for Richmond Demo only Undisturbed land may require full Environmental Impact Study* Outside the Installation s perimeter fence Improves issues associated with installation access during construction SSUSD zoning concerns/complications 2 elementary schools in proximity West of New Murray Middle School Site Money allocated for Richmond Demo only Some environmental remediation costs Outside the installation s perimeter fence Addresses SSUSD zoning concerns/complications Small footprint would not be enough space 12 *All other sites have
Site Considerations North of New Murray Middle School Site (South of Vieweg) Money allocated for Richmond Demo only High environmental remediation cost potential Relocate installation perimeter fence Outside the installation perimeter Addresses SSUSD zoning concerns/complications Vieweg Site Money allocated for Richmond and Vieweg demolition Outside the installation s perimeter fence Addresses SSUSD zoning concerns/complications Would have to relocate central kitchen Would have to relocate SSUSD Adult School Would have to relocate Curriculum & Instruction Department Lose potential swing space for future facilities investments 13
