Jerusalem Obituaries David (no last name) 70 yrs. old, joined Yahweh last week. He was an Israelite who spent his youth playing his harp to sheep on the family farm. He was the county youth sling shot champion, and was drafted to dispatch Goliath on the battlefield with the Philistines. That introduction to fame allowed him to quickly move up the political ladder, following King Saul as the leader of Israel and Judah. He was considered quite a catch, and a lady s man. He had more wives than can be listed here, but his marriage after a rooftop romance with Bathsheba, and the unexpected brutal death of her husband, produced David s successor, King Solomon. Some seers, prophets, and geneticists predict David s and Solomon s future lineage will include another King
Discussion Questions What is the legacy of King David? How much of this is history? Spin? What role does disinformation play in the story?
